When things moved a bit slower, folks took time to
drop in on family and
friends. An unannounced visit at supper time was always welcome. You'd
just set an extra place at the table and somehow there was plenty to go
around.
Whether it was mixing bowls or coffee mugs or just plain dinner plates,
pottery was a natural part of most American kitchens. It was simple and
could stand up to regular use. It got us thinking about simpler times and
country lore and led to our line of house wares, carefully crafted, kiln
fired and glazed like it used to be. We call it country living -- every
day.
Pegasus Pottery is wheel-thrown, hand detailed stoneware pottery that
is lead free, safe to use in the microwave, oven and dishwasher. Size and
shape of pottery will vary because all of our pots are hand made. You
will not find the consistency of machine-made pottery. This adds to the
character, charm and uniqueness of your particular piece.
